About the Silver Grey Clinic

The Silver Grey Clinic (formally Silver Health Clinic) was established on its current site in 1977 by Chris Macdonald who graduated with a degree in Physiotherapy in 1967 and Osteopathy in 1968. In 1989, Chris’s son Tari joined the clinic.

In 2018, Tari’s son Scott became the fourth generation in the family when he graduated and joined the clinic.

The East Ginstead Clinic is ideally situated on the main A22 leading into East Grinstead which takes advantage of drive past traffic. However, nearly all the patients are referred via word of mouth and with strong links to local doctors and other health practitioners the clinic has grown from strength to strength. In 2020, the Forest Row Clinic also opened, giving patients a choice of two locations.

In 2018 the Silver Health Clinic changed its name to the Silver Grey Clinic, with an accompanying facelift and change of logo… It does, however, still remain the same friendly, homely, clinic with the same professional practitioners and staff it always was! Your health and wellbeing is our concern from the minute you walk through the door.

Our Team

Scott Macdonald

Osteopath BOst (Hons)

Scott is the fourth generation of Osteopaths in the family, after graduating with a BOst with Honours from the College of Osteopaths, (Staffordshire University) in 2018. Because of Scott joining the clinic, they have been able to open up the second clinic in Forest Row. Scott is delighted to help patients of all ages and whatever their problems. He is particularly passionate about helping with sports injuries (and is passionate about sport itself!), and in addition can offer taping, cupping and ultrasound to achieve great results. He practices all aspects of manipulation and massage, to give each patient a personalised treatment.
Tari Macdonald

Senior Osteopath DO

Following in the footsteps of three generations of his family, Tari graduated from University College London and started his career at the Silver Grey Clinic in 1989. Since then he has expanded the family practice to include new practitioners and a wide range of therapies. Tari practices all aspects of spinal manipulation from classical structural techniques to cranial work on children and babies as well as acupuncture and foot health care. Additionally, he has completed a post graduate course in equine manipulation and acupuncture.
Over the last two decades he has established good working relationships with local Doctors and in recent years he has been working with a leading podiatric (foot) surgeon on developing new types of orthotic foot insoles that are ideal for resolving biomechanical issues (misalignment of bones in feet and legs) which, over time, manifest in many conditions of the neck, hips and spine. Tari can provide custom-made foot orthoses, depending on your needs.
